[2023-02-02] Groundhog Day
In the 1993 comedy film Groundhog Day, Bill Murray plays television weatherman Phil Connors, a man caught in a time loop and doomed to relive Groundhog Day repeatedly. He awakens every morning in Punxsutawney's Cherry Tree Inn to Sonny & Cher's "I Got You Babe" playing on the clock radio. It's February 2 again, and he must report on whether groundhog Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow.
I recalled the film when I opened today's CA125 result, which is another beautiful 8. Unlike Phil, however, I'm thrilled to be repeating at least that one aspect of my life, getting 8 (or 7) on this test month after month. Whether we're in for an early spring or another six weeks of winter, I will happily take tonight's result and sleep with a smile on my face.
