[2023-05-14] Happy Mother's Day Olivette
I spent the afternoon at my mom's home in the country, celebrating Mother's Day. In honour of my mom, Olivette, I put together a montage of photos that reflect her role as a mother, grandmother and great grandmother:
- 1959 — Olivette standing outside the Montfort Hospital in Ottawa with her first child (Tim).
- 1970 — Olivette and her six children (Jen, Ben, Tim, Kathleen, Bryan and Greg) in front of a huge willow tree that was a favourite backdrop for family photos.
- 1972 — Olivette with her mom (Malvina), along with her two daughters.
- 2002 — Olivette with her eight grandchildren (Carter, Emily, Shenell, Kelly, Michel, Pascale, Melanie and Shane).
- 2004 — Olivette with her six kids.
- 2022 — Olivette and most (though not all) members of her family (children, partners, grandchildren and great grandchildren).
- 2023 — Olivette and Jen.
The final photo was taken this evening at my mom's house. I'm very lucky to still have my mom in my life.
