[2023-06-02] Walk by the water
Tonight, my daughter and I decided to take a walk by the water. We headed to one of our favourite spots: Andrew Haydon Park in Ottawa's west end. We walked through the park, then past the Nepean Sailing Club (with its homes for Purple Martins) and continued through Dick Bell Park to the lighthouse at the end of the bit of land that juts out into the Ottawa River. The breeze coming off the water was refreshing after a warm day. On our way back, we stopped at a waterfall that's tucked out of sight in Andrew Haydon Park. It's worth seeking out this little bit of paradise.
