[2023-10-16] The Doobie Brothers
Mel's birthday present to me was tickets for the two of us to see The Doobie Brothers. The concert took place this evening, just a five-minute drive from my house. Chris played chauffeur, dropping us off and picking us up at the door.
The concert was laid back; the atmosphere, casual. The Doobie Brothers played a smattering of their better known songs among new and lesser-known older pieces at the beginning of the concert, saving their biggest hits for the end of the show.
I enjoyed the concert. I enjoyed running into people I knew, including several former colleagues, as well as my sister and her friend. Most of all, I enjoyed spending an evening with my daughter.
