After I had opened MyChart and accessed today's CA125 result—another single digit number—I said to my husband: "You know, I never really think much about my CA125 until I'm waiting for the latest result to pop into MyChart. Then, when I see that it's arrived, I get nervous. I swear that if I checked my heart rate in those moments, it would be faster."
And then, when I see that low, steady number, I exhale. I interpret each result as an extension of my lease on life. "Good for another month," I tell myself.
