[2024-05-31] The most important person
I recently heard this statement from someone who had lost both parents:
I realized that there was no one left in the world for whom I was the most important person.
It struck me that this must be what it's like when both your parents are gone. Or when you lose an especially close loved one, such as a partner, sibling or child.
So take the pictures, have the family meals, play cards outside, hug your kids, reach out to a friend. You are undoubtedly the most important person in the world to someone.
