According to an African proverb, "A child does not grow up only in a single home."
Though a child's parents can have a strong influence on them, as can their siblings, strangers who become the child's friend and even family can have an equally positive impact on them. Neighbours, mentors, coaches, teachers, adoptive parents can help a child to grow and develop. Indeed, sometimes someone outside the family finds the key to unlocking a child's potential.
Be the reason a child smiles. Be the spark that ignites a child's curiosity. Be the encouragement that helps a child to blossom.
